Reformed Faith Mission Community Church is a fellowship of Christ-honouring, Bible-believing, Truth-seeking , Born-again believers serving Jehovah God with Biblical and Ecclesiastical Accountability, to honour our Lord Jesus Christ’s name through Faith, Practice and Association, among the nations.
Our convictions can be described as Evangelical and Reformed. Our core commitments are to the central beliefs held by the Protestant Reformers in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
Our theological persuasion is best described by the following:
Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Solo Christo, Soli Deo Gloria, Reformed Biblicists
Reformed Faith Mission Community Church has been birthed out of obedience to God: “ … ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. Jude 1:3b-4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”
We are therefore committed to ensure that the Holy Scriptures, as contained in the extant manuscript copies of the Old and New Testament and translations, having the Textus Receptus and Majority Text as basis, remains the absolute authority for faith and practice in Christian fellowship and ministry.
We believe that the Bible (as translated from the extant manuscript copies) is the very words of God and “is all sufficient and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2Tim3:16-17
As partakers of the saving grace of God by faith through grace we are debtors both to believers and unbelievers, to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ boldly and truthfully and to equip the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Our great ambition and duty is to be conformed to the image of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Not that we have already attained, or are already perfected, but we press on, that we may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of us. We do not count ourselves to have apprehended, but we press towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Why plant another church?
We had to ask some tough questions:
1. Are there any sheep-feeding denominations in Bellville South that would call deluded tares and goats among them by their fruit and behaviour, so that by the preaching of the gospel they would repent and be saved? For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And “If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
1 Peter 4:17-18
2. Are there any denominations in Bellville South with a missions commitment, to go beyond our borders to preach the gospel and teach the word of God.
3. Are there any denominations out there that would, without fear or favour, be salt and light and expose heresy and pastoral indiscretions, ecclesiastical ills and carnal indifference to blasphemous sin within and outside their ranks?
The truth is many churches would rather turn a blind eye, bow to the fear of man and ignore sin among them and their neighbours, than speak out in fear of God, as the bible commands:
1 Timothy 5:20
As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear.
2 Timothy 4:2
preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.
Titus 1:9
He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.
Titus 1:13
This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,
Titus 2:15
Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
Is it not arrogance to even ask these questions? NO, it’s reprehensible to be MUTE about them.
